In a brilliant display of sports leadership, Indian javelin star Neeraj Chopra hosted the inaugural Neeraj Chopra Classic in Panchkula, delivering a performance worthy of the event’s namesake. Under his guidance and among fervent home support, Chopra clinched the title with an impressive 86.18m throw.

The event is also a Diamond League qualifier, offering athletes a prestigious pathway to the 2025 World Championships. Earlier this season in Doha, Chopra had flirted with greatness—launching a 90.23m throw, briefly leading the field until Julian Weber edged ahead with 91.06m.

In May, Audi India named Chopra as its brand ambassador, further elevating his influence beyond the field. He also claimed the Dallas Open, overcoming several top-10 opponents, and captured the Los Cabos Open title in July without dropping a set. These milestones lifted him to inside the top 30 globally by mid-July.
